Murray Covens Contemporary – an Excellent Event Venue for Your Nonprofit Organization

Murray Covens Contemporary, a new fine art gallery, will be opening in the Design District in September.  The gallery will be an excellent venue for events, with no rental fee charged to nonprofit organizations.

The gallery will be located in a 4,200 sq. ft. space at 154 Glass St., Suite 110, in Dallas, directly across the street from Dallas Contemporary, a museum.

Murray Covens Contemporary will exclusively feature high-end contemporary abstract oil and acrylic paintings, with a focus on vivid color.  The gallery will show work by established international, national, and Texas artists, and emerging Texas artists.

Our goal for the gallery, in addition to promoting talented artists, is to become a foremost destination for both art collectors and enthusiasts, and to serve as an event venue for nonprofit organizations doing important work in our community.

The gallery will regularly present artist exhibitions and host events.  It will open for business just after Labor Day, and the grand opening is the evening of September 14th.

Murray Covens Contemporary will be available for events beginning the week of September 23rd.  The floor is being re-done, there’s not yet art or furniture in the gallery, and not all of the details are in place, but since this is the time of year that many organizations are planning events for the fall, we are ready to accept inquiries about using the space for events.

The gallery will have an elegant, museum-like look and feel, has one large room of 2,760 sq. ft. of open gallery space, and has a kitchen and restroom.  It can accommodate up to approximately 250 people, depending on the type of event.  The ceiling is 14 ft. high.

There will be no rental fee for 501c3 nonprofit organizations.  In addition to the other usual expenses you would incur for an event, there might be security and clean-up fees for the gallery.

Please email Murray Covens at murraycovens@northtexasnonprofitresources.org to inquire.  The website for the gallery is not yet up.

Note:  This gallery venture will not diminish my role in, or commitment to, North Texas Nonprofit Resources in any way.  There will be a professional staff, including a Gallery Director, running the gallery.
