North Texas Nonprofit Resources Announces Addition of Government and United Way Grant Writing Services

We are pleased to announce that we are expanding our services to now offer both government and United Way grant writing. Government

Government grant writing will be handled by Jennifer Morrison, who has just joined our grant writing staff.  Jennifer has strong government grant writing experience, including program development, grant research, proposal development, and grant reporting.  She has spearheaded the receipt of several million dollars in government grants.

Jennifer brings a wealth of grant writing and nonprofit management experience to North Texas Nonprofit Resources.  Most recently she was with a domestic violence agency in Dallas County for 14 years, including the last 10 years as Executive Director.  Previously she was Director of a Sexual Assault Recovery Program for six years.  Jennifer holds Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Education degrees, and is both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.

United Way

We also have a very experienced United Way grant writer to offer this service to our clients.

United Way of Metropolitan Dallas' focus for Community Impact Grants is agencies that can help achieve the following goals by 2020 (see their website for more details):

Education - Prepare 60 percent of high school graduates to succeed in education after high school.

Income - Move 250,000 more individuals out of poverty permanently.

Health - Improve health and quality of life across the region.

United Way of Metropolitan Dallas is moving to a three-year funding cycle beginning with the upcoming process.  Any program that either does not apply for funding or does not receive funding during the upcoming process must wait until November, 2015, to reapply for a Community Impact Grant.  Basic Needs grants will continue to be offered annually, and this year have the same deadlines as Community Impact Grants.

The deadline for submission of electronic applications is November 5th, with a November 9th deadline for hard copies.  The deadline for submission of Stewardship packets is September 17th.

Please let us know if you want to discuss our government and/or United Way grant writing services.
